Mrs. Usha yadav

Usha joined our centre in the year 2007. She was treated for Psychiatric problem and was taken care at Asra Rehabilitation centre by Samarpan NGO, Indore. As per their knowledge, Usha is a widow, has no children and no past history is known. She spends her time by cleaning the courtyard and playing carom board.

Nefisa

An 80 years old lady suffering from Dementia. She sometimes walked out of the house making it difficult for the family to find her as they had to go for work. When they heard about our old age home they brought her here. In the beginning she was not able to adjust but now she spends her time praying, talking with other inmates and watching T.V.

Mrs.Priya Nagar

An orphan and mentally retarded since birth. Her cousin Yogesh Nagar brought her to the centre. She spends her time in watching T.V, singing, cleaning the courtyard and taking around Mefuza (aged inmate) in the wheel chair.

Miss. Archana Pande

Archana's past history is not known, she is unable to remember anything about her family members, she was treated in M.Y Hospital for few months for Psychological problem , later entrusted to us by the Sahara ward authorities. She likes walking and sweeping the courtyard.

Deepika Chhadidar

She 36 years old from Mhow. She studied up to class 11 and has always been a bright and determined individual. Till the age of 4, she was healthy and active but one day, she suffered from a severe fever and typhoid, and tragically fell down the staircase. That accident changed her life—she lost the use of her leg in 2008. Despite this, Deepika has shown immense courage and resilience. She has two elder sisters, Kavita and Bharti, and continues to be a source of strength and love in our family. She is along with her mother is admitted in our Ashanilaya old age home.

Ms.Sharada Yadav

Sharada is a orphan child belongs to the state of U.P. She was looked after by her relatives for few years, she developed T.B of the Lungs and was admitted in M.Y hospital for treatment. Her past history is not much known. After her treatment in Indore as no one from her family came to take her back home she was brought to our centre by social workers. She enjoys her stay at Ashanilaya . She is good at singing and dancing. She spends her time in helping other inmates and keeping the surrounding clean every day.

Miss.Nandini Tripathi

Nandini was brought to our centre by her brother Chetan Kumar in2022. She is a suffering from Mental illness and getting treatment from Banganga Mental hospital for the past 20 years. Sometimes she hurts herself and uncontrollable. She is a good dancer and enjoys listening to Music and walking. Due to regular medical check-up and continuous medication her mental health has improved and she extends her help in Ashram by cutting vegetables and making Roti.

Mrs. Roma Bagrawat

Roma is daughter of Mr.Babu and Eva Bundla from Rajasthan. She came to our centre in 2023 by her Sister Naju Bundla. Roma is married and has a boy child. Gradually Roma got into depression and developed mental illness due to the ill treatment of her in laws. She was admitted in Ujjain old age home for few years and from there she is brought to our centre. She spends her time in arranging her clothes and watching T.V.

Mrs.Mefuza Abbas

Mefuza was brought to our centre in 2015 by her nephew Mr.Abbas Ali. She married twice and had four children out of them two died. After the death of her first husband she married again but got divorced. When she came here she was getting treated for depression from M.G.M hospital. Now with regular medicine she is normal and under care of her nephew Sakhir. She spends her time in watching T.V and speaking with other inmates.

Miss.Leena Damor

An unknown person brought to Ashnailaya Vridhashram on 8-8-25 by Mr.Jaya Joshi Social worker from M.Y Hospital, Sahara ward –Indore after one month of treatment for Head injury. She has no identity or family. Since the Sahara ward authorities could not find her family, they requested us to keep her in our old age home. She suffers from Dementia case and general weakness. The wound in the forehead is getting healed slowly.

Mrs.Margret Simon

Margret is married and has 10 children 7 boys and 3 girls. She is a widower from Mhow, Indore. She is on medication for High Blood pressure and Diabetes. She was working as a Teacher in Mhow. After her retirement and death of her husband she was depending on their children for her survival. As per her daughter she is willing to live with her children and wants remain alone in her house. Due to concern for her welfare she is brought to our centre on 16-12-24 by her daughter and son in law. She is happy and getting adjusted to the way of life in our centre. She spends her time in praying and cleaning wheat.

Mrs.Laxmi

Laxmi belongs to Andra Pradesh. Since she speaks only Telugu so the exact history of her family is not known. Through some resources we came to know that she has relations but no one takes care of her, she was staying in the Temple and who ever gives food and clothing she was living with that. One day she was found in the railway station of Indore, leg was fractured and was crying with pain. Some social workers from M.Y hospital admitted, operated, rod is put, treated and brought to us. She got adjusted to the lifestyle and language of other inmates here and is happy and contented. She enjoys gardening.

Mrs.Rajjo Bai

Ranjitha was fondly called Rajjo Dadi by our staff and inmates. She belonged to Maharastra but was found begging in Indore and was taken care by Sahara ward in M.Y hospital for 3 yrs. She was a blind widow and had two married children. Brought to our centre by social workers, she remained with us for 1 year. She was always positive and cheerful but unable to walk and was bedridden. Sr.Arpana and Aruna cared for her as their own mother and Rajjo was very satisfied and ready to surrender herself into the hands of God. Finally she was called by God on 18th April 2025. Her favourite song "Mumbai se aaya mera dhosth" which she sang for her visitors, still echos in our memories.
